Becaue of Rend, I'm actively looking for Historical Japanese Manga.

Here are the things that people have pointed out to me from [profile] free_manga

Any period is welcome, Heian, Tokugawa Era or the Bakamatsu period or whatever else other period there is before the 1900's.

Time travel is ok too. Flashbacks like Gekka No Kimi, are fine too.

The Shojou/Shounen sometimes is a bit stretching it because there are things that don't fall under that category, but for simplicity's sake I just kept it under Shoujo, Shounen and Shounen-Ai/Yaoi.

DD= has direct downloads. All underlined I've already sifted through and downloaded.

Lone Wolf & Cub by Kazuo Koike and Goseki Kojima. That's a classic which is kind of conspicuous in its absence in your list. Shounen, I guess. And what about InuYasha? It's set in Japan's past, after all.

And are you only asking for manga from the distant past? Because Tropical Citron is set in the late 1960s, which is definitely a distinct historical period.

Anyway, most of these can probably be found just by Googling the titles and adding "torrent" at the end.

yeah google... unfortunately my google is not really "working" at the moment. Ever since the big taiwan earthquake, net through google has been SLOOOW (all of south east asian internet cables are subserved by taiwan through large undersea cables which the earthquakes destroyed). Even my gmail is snail paced.

Thanks for the suggestion... yeah Inu Yasha, I forgot to add that because I have it with me. 1960's... no that's already too modern for what I need. Thanks for the suggestions.

Oops, I forgot I even left this comment in the first place. So do you still need to know where to get manga? Also, I found another one for your list, Shigurui, which is apparently a samurai epic. Tell you more when I finish reading it.

it's ok that you don't remember posting, it's been quite a while. as I said net here in the south east asian region is choppy because of the earthquake.

Thanks for the help.

Emailed you the details. I really hated the artwork in Shigurui, so I didn't bother reading past the first chapter, but oh well.
